Interesting premise, but starts feeling insanely repetitive pretty quickly.
As it stands right now, this is just RNG: the game. I don't feel like I'm actually doing anything, rather I'm just sitting around clicking for a random chance to progress. RNG can be good fun sometimes for minor features like level generation and items drops, but centering a whole game around it just makes for an often frustrating experience.
As a result, there isn't any sort of meaningful progression system leaving the player feeling unsatisfied more often than not. Maybe there's some safer bets? Maybe there's some skill-based ways to loose money?
I dunno, but making a game where literally all of your progress is based on random chance feels cheap and frustrating.

Fun!

Originality alone makes it far above the other contributions to this contest. When paired with the fairly unique setting and funny writing, its leagues above its contemporaries lol.

Anyway, how is your sex life?

It was pretty fun for what it was:
Even if it was done in a fairly different way, I just think the crossover angle was kinda lame and unnecessary to the overall experience: it just feels like a Newgrounds version of that Jontron dating sim thing.
The trash can gag and a lot of the other more original gags were pretty good IMO, I just feel like there should've been more stuff like that instead of having the whole premise of the game be about Pico being gay, and people wanting to fuck JohnnyUtah: shit's boring and has already kinda been done to death.

It's pretty clear that lots of people gave this project their all, and I'm interested in seeing something original from this team, but this ain't it: at least for me.

EDIT: For the people on this team who are treating this as an attack on the creators, this is strictly a review of the game itself: not a review of the creators, most of whose other works I'd actually consider myself a fan of.

A philosophical masterpiece.

Reviewing this as objectively as I can: there's sometimes huge gaps in terms of the quality of some of the art...
Not much else to criticize really, it was a pretty solid game with lots of great homages to the new and the old, something I think is really lacking with many of these NG tributes I've seen as of late.

Very fun concept! Look forward to seeing more stuff like this.

crow-seeds responds:

Sorry to disappoint lmao

Really fun game!
Only complaint is that it's just programmer art, but otherwise it was a surprisingly great time!
Look forward to more stuff from you!
